I Can't Find My DiDi Pickup Point 鈥?What Should I Do?

DiDi is showing you a pickup point, but you can鈥檛 work out where it actually is.

Don鈥檛 look for the car yet. First work out where DiDi is asking you to go.

At airports, railway stations, shopping malls and other large places, your current location and your pickup point may be close on the map but still be on different floors, roads or pickup areas.

1.Read the pickup point in DiDi

Open your ride and look carefully at the pickup location.

Don鈥檛 only look at the pin on the map.

Look for details such as:

  • terminal
  • exit
  • gate
  • floor or level
  • parking area
  • pickup zone
  • road
  • entrance

These details may be more useful than the distance shown on the map.

2.Look for signs that match the pickup point

Now look around you.

If DiDi says your pickup point is at B2, P2, Exit 3 or Zone C, look for signs that lead to that place.

At airports, railway stations and other large transport hubs, you may also see signs for ride-hailing vehicles.

One useful Chinese term is:

缃戠害杞?/span> Ride-hailing / app-booked car

If you see 缃戠害杞?/strong> on a sign, it may help you find the area used for app-booked cars.

3.Check the floor or level

If the map says you are close but you still can鈥檛 find the pickup point, check the floor or level.

You might be standing almost directly above or below it.

For example, you may be in an arrivals hall while the pickup point is in an underground parking or ride-hailing area.

Before walking farther across the building, work out whether you need to go up or down.

4.Show the pickup point to someone nearby

If you still can鈥檛 work out where to go, show the pickup information in DiDi to airport, station, hotel or building staff.

You don鈥檛 need to explain the whole situation.

Point to the pickup location on your phone and ask:

缃戠害杞︿笂杞︾偣鍦ㄥ摢閲岋紵 Where is the ride-hailing pickup point?

If DiDi shows a specific exit, floor, zone or parking area, show that information too.

The goal is simply to find the place where the car is supposed to meet you.

5.Find the pickup point before trying to find the driver

If you already have a driver, don鈥檛 keep changing direction just because the car is moving on the map.

First get yourself to the pickup point shown in DiDi.

Once you know you are in the right place, finding the driver becomes a different problem.

If you reach the pickup point but still can鈥檛 find the car, see:

I Can't Find My DiDi Driver 鈥?What Should I Do?

If you still cannot work out where the pickup point is, use the customer-service option in DiDi. DiDi China says it provides 24/7 in-app online English customer service for inbound users.
